Meghalaya has reported 19 more Covid19 deaths and 569 new positive cases in the last 24 hours.

The news has been confirmed by the NHM Meghalaya.

According to the latest data on Covid19, updated by NHM Meghalaya on its Twitter handle on Saturday, the death toll in the state reached 320.

With the new 569 cases detected in Meghalaya on Sunday, the state’s positive tally increased to 23,332.

Meghalaya currently has 4,534 active Covid19 cases.

A total of 18,478 patients, who were earlier infected by Covid19, have recovered from the disease so far.

On Saturday, Meghalaya recorded 560 new Covid19 cases and the death toll was 301.

Meanwhile, according to NHM Meghalaya, there are a total of 568 beds with oxygen in the state.

The daily occupancy is 235 and the number of beds available is 333.

Meghalaya chief minister Conrad K Sangma has urged all the citizens of the state to get vaccine for Covid19.

Meghalaya chief minister Conrad K Sangma on his Twitter handle on Sunday wrote:   “The Vaccination for citizens between 18-44 years has begun from the 14th of May 2021 in Meghalaya. Registration through http://cowin.gov.in & booking of slots in vaccination centres from 17th to 23rd May, 2021 are open. Request citizens to get themselves #vaccinated.”
