Mizoram has reported 105 new Covid19 positive cases in the last 24 hours.

According to the latest Covid19 bulletin released by the directorate of information & public relations, Mizoram on Sunday, with the new cases, the state’s total positive tally increased to 5,388.

Of the 5,388 cases, 3,748 are male and 1,640 are female.

As per the bulletin, 48 cases were confirmed during RT-PCR tests at Zoram Medical College (ZMC) in Aizawl while the 57 other cases were confirmed during Rapid Antigen Tests (RAT).

In the last 24 hours, 2,300 Covid19 tests were conducted in various laboratories across Mizoram.

Mizoram currently has 712 active Covid19 cases.

One more person died of Covid19 infection in Mizoram in the last 24 hours.

With this, Covid19 infection has claimed the lives of a total of 13 people.

So far, a total of 4,663 people, who were earlier infected by Covid19, have recovered from the disease in Mizoram.

veteran Congress leader and Mizoram’s former art and culture minister PC Zoram Sangliana died of Covid19 infection on Saturday.

Sangliana was 65 years old at the time demise.

India has registered 3,49,691 new cases in the last 24 hours.

Ten states including Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Karnataka, Kerala, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat and Rajasthan reported 74.53% of the new cases.

Maharashtra reported the highest daily new cases at 67,160, followed by Uttar Pradesh with 37,944 while Karnataka reported 29,438 new cases.
