In order to reduce the impact of plastics on the environment and encourage public participation for a cleaner surrounding, Kiphire Town Council (KTC) has decided to buy plastics every Saturday.
According to a notification issued by the additional deputy commissioner of Kiphire, the Kiphire Town Council (KTC) will buy plastics every Saturday from 9 am to 3 pm at KTC Solid Waste Management site at Old NST in Kiphire.
“In order to reduce and mitigate the impact of plastics on the environment and to encourage public participation for a cleaner surrounding, the Kiphire Town Council will be buying plastic every Saturday from 9: 00 AM to 03: 00 PM at KTC Solid Waste Management Site at OLD NST, Kiphire,” said a notification issued by the additional DC of Kiphire.
As per the notification, the plastics will be bought by the Kiphire Town Council at the rates fixed by the town council.
The mineral water bottles will be bought at Rs 5 per kilogram.
The other plastics including shampoo, cream, vegetable oil bottles, etc. will be bought at Rs 3 per kilogram.
