The World Heritage Site, which was closed for tourists in March this year in the wake of COVID-19 pandemic, reopened for tourists on October 21.
Tourists from both Assam and outside the state have thronged in large numbers after the park’s reopening.
The park authorities informed that they have been strictly following the COVID-19 protocols as they welcomed the tourists.
Wearing masks and sanitising hands have been made compulsory and tourists are also asked to maintain social distancing.
Elephant safari is one of the biggest tourists’ attractions and with its resumption, the park officials are hopeful that the inflow of tourists will increase by a large extent.
