Legends of Hollongapar, a coffee-table book, written by Assam’s author and photographer Udayan Borthakur, is now available on Amazon India.

The book was published by Aaranyak,  a leading wildlife NGO based in Guwahati, in 2019 with support from the Assam State Biodiversity Board.

The coffee-table book has been released online on the occasion of International Gibbon Day 2020.

Announcing this in a post on his Facebook page on Saturday, Borthakur said: “On the occasion of International Gibbon Day 2020, I am happy to announce the online release of my coffee-table book ‘Legends of Hollongapar’, published by Aaranyak with support from the Assam State Biodiversity Board in 2019.”

This coffee-table book with 62 pages has over a hundred images containing information on various flora and fauna of Hollongapar Gibbon Wildlife Sanctuary.

Hollongapar Gibbon Wildlife Sanctuary is located in the Jorhat district of Assam.

The book also presents a discussion on conservation issues associated with the sanctuary and useful information for visitors to the area.

Borthakur, a member of Nikon Professional Services (NPS), is a wildlife photographer and filmmaker by passion.

The book with a hardcover is available on Amazon India at Rs 1,200.
