Tripura government has claimed that per capita income and GSDP is increasing.

And now Tripura is the sixth state in the country regarding per capita income.

Law minister and state Cabinet spokesperson Ratan lal Nath in a press conference on Friday night at state secretariat said this.

Ratan lal Nath said, during the Left front in 2017-18 the GSDP was 43,687 crores 80 lakhs.

Now under Biplab Deb government it turned 2018-20 at 49, 836 crore 89 lakhs and in 2019-20 it turned 55,358 crores 8 lakhs.

Ratan lal Nath said government wants to achieve 60,000 crore GSDP in 2020-21.

He also said, in 2017-18 per capita income was one lakh 370, in 2018-19 it was one lakh 12 thousand 812 and then in 2019-20, one lakh 23 thousand 630.

The minister said government has a target to 1.32 lakhs per capita income in 2020-21.

He said, “Tripura stands at 6th position in per capita income among all states whereas West Bengal, Assam, Odisha, Rajasthan etc are less than Tripura”.

In North east India regarding per capita income Tripura is now second position while Sikim is in the first position in NE, he added.

“Job does not matter in economic growth, but the per capita income matters”, he added.
