Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Lucknow a short while ago for the ‘bhumi pujan’ of the Ram Mandir.
He will now proceed to ‘Shree Ram Janmabhoomi’.
The ‘bhumi pujan’ of the grand temple in Ayodhya, at a spot where devotees believe that Lord Ram was born, is said to take place at 12:40 pm, which is the ‘muhurat’ for the foundation stone laying ceremony.
Apart from Modi, Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath and around 200 invitees will attend the Ram Mandir ‘bhumi pujan’.

A 40-kg silver brick, which will symbolize the beginning of the construction – is the cynosure of Wednesday’s ceremonies.
The ground breaking ‘bhumi pujan’ of the Ram Mandir at the site that was disputed for decades became a reality today after the Supreme Court handed over ownership to Hindus last year.

The historic judgement was given by former Chief Justice of India, Ranjan Gogoi, the proud son of Assam.
Modi is returning to Ayodhya after 29 years on Wednesday for the Ram Mandir ‘bhumi pujan’.
The Uttar Pradesh government said that Modi is the first Prime Minister to visit Ram Janmabhoomi.
