Acting on a tip-off, Panisagar police seized a huge amount of dry cannabis from a 12-wheeler truck bearing number JK-01-AR-5299 from the check-point at Assam-Agartala highway.
During the raid, police seized a total of 27 bundles of cannabis weighing 270 kg amounting to Rs 27 lakhs.
Police have also arrested one Krishan Lal (34), a resident of Jammu.
During interrogation, police have come to know that he was carrying the drug consignment to Uttar Pradesh via Agartala by-pass.
The incident is being investigated by the police.
