In a tragic road accident in Khonsa area, Lengang Lowang, Chief of Lapnan village and son of Late Lapbang Lowang and Kheti Wangcha died on Friday around 3.30 am in between Itanagar and Naharlagun in Arunachal Pradesh.
He was driving his Scorpio Car bearing No AR-02-5037.
Lengang Lowang was known for his mild, gentle behaviour and was a true custodian of Nocte’s Indigenous culture apart from conducting his normal Panchayat duties.
His untimely demise has shocked Nocte Community in particular and Tirap District as a whole. In their condolence messages Chief of Borduria Wanglin Lowangdong, Adviser to CM, Wangki Lowang, Hon’ble Agriculture Minister, Hon’ble MLA Khonsa West Tirong Aboh, 55-Khonsa East MLA Wanglam Sawin, Tirap DCP, N. Thungon, ZPC Sontung Bangsia and all Block ZPMs of Tirap District stated that Tirap District has lost one young and energetic leader which is irreparable.
Late Lengang Lowang, left behind his newly married wife, younger sister and mother. His body is being brought to his native village Lapnan after performing the required formalities at Tomo Riba Memorial Hospital, Naharlagun.
