In an emotional facebook post on Saturday evening, Akhil Gogoi’s wife Gitashri Tamuli wrote:
‘At last the suspense was broken. They did not dare to tell us (Akhil’s health status). Only when our lawyer asked the authorities, the answer came – positive.’
Through the post, she also asked to make the Delhi report public.

She also wanted to know the line of treatment given to Akhil Gogoi at the Guwahati Medical College and Hospital.
She also appealed to the government to hand her husband in good health.
Akhil Gogoi’s wife also demanded as part of human rights, all inmates in the jails of the State should have proper access to health care facilities.
