Sensation prevailed following the recovery of a 13-year-old school girl’s charred body from Durgabari area of West Tripura district on Friday.
Durgabari is a tea garden area.
The girl was studying in Class 7.
The charred body of the minor girl was found on Friday morning in a jungle near Durgabari tea garden.
On being informed by locals a team of Airport police station rushed to the spot.
After recovery, the police team sent the body for conducting post-mortem.
Police informed that an empty drum was found near the charred body.
Police suspect it to be a case of suicide.
However, the locals and her family members doubt if she had committed suicide.
Police said everything will be clear after the arrival of the post-mortem report.
The deceased’s family members said in the early morning on Friday, the girl’s mother went out to attend nature’s call. At that time the girl was seen in her bed.
But since 6.30 am she was not seen anywhere in the house. After few hours, her body was recovered from the jungle, which is nearly 200 metres from their house, the family members said.
It may be mentioned that just a month back, the charred body of a lady school teacher was recovered from Rangamura in Mohanpur area under West Tripura district.
That lady school teacher was raped and burnt alive.
Within a month, another charred body of a girl has been recovered from the same district.
The minor girl’s father is a fast-food vendor at Durgabari area.
