Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) DG AP Maheshwari has gone into self-quarantine, two days after the CRPF chief medical officer tested positive for coronavirus.
In an official statement, it was mentioned that the DG has decided to go into self-quarantine as a precautionary measure.
The statement further informed that even though the DG didn’t directly come in contact medical officer, however, other personnel had met him recently and this person was in direct contact with the CMO.
“Even though the direct contact tested negative for coronavirus, the DG, however, is not taking any chances and as per protocol he has decided to go into self-quarantine,” the statement added.
The CRPF CMO, who was residing in Officers’ Mess in Saket (Delhi), was tested positive on Thursday.
