Police have arrested two persons in two separate cases of drug smuggling and recovered narcotics from them in Meghalaya’s West Garo Hills.
Both of them have been booked under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.

In the first case, police arrested a drug smuggler from Goanang at Araimile here and seized 2.4 grams of heroin from him.
He has been identified as Chanbelrak T Sangma, 27.
In the second case, another smuggler was arrested from Diringgagre in Dakopgre.

The 36-year-old smuggler has been identified as Aniruddha Koch and 4.16 grams of drugs were found on him.
Police said efforts are on to nab the kingpins.
