The working committee of the Naga National Political Groups (NNPGs) on Wednesday raised voice against said the public action committee (PAC) of the Naga Council Dimapur.
The committee said the PAC has cut off its day-to-day supply line threatening the survival of those striving to ensure that the Nagas secure their identity, peace and respectable future.

The media cell of the working committee, in a release, said while the government of India has perfectly understood the Naga issue, the PAC has tightened its screws against it.

Saying that it is a testing time for Nagas politically, the working committee sad it was deeply disturbed at act of the PAC led by its convenor Vekhosayi Nyekha and co-convenor Ghokheto Chophi.

The committee said it is in the interest of all the Naga people to check and control illegal and unauthorised collections by petty unions, organisations and associations, which have become a menace to the people.
However, it pointed out the threat it poses to thousands of uniformed Naga army in various designated camps, units and regional commands and duty-bound civilian national workers in various regions.
They survive only on the day-to-day contribution of the Naga people and business community especially in Nagaland, it said.
“In the coming months, thousands of national workers will still depend on the generosity and contribution of the business community in Dimapur and other centres,” the committee said.
The committee said Nyekha and Chophy must fulfil adequate food supply and financial requirements to sustain the Naga movement till an agreement with the government of India is inked.
The working committee placed on record that the voluntary contributions to and minimal taxation by the national workers have been abolished completely at the behest of the PAC.
It said the national workers were being picked up from homes and those arrested are being put behind bars without any compunction, it said.
The working committee asked the PAC convener and co-convener to respond within four days why the Naga national workers must not seek even minimal contribution from the Nagas to sustain themselves, particularly at this juncture.
“The lives of thousand patriots cannot be put in danger to fulfil ulterior motives of few,” it said.
It called the action of PAC anti-solution and ill-motivated stratagem to completely disorient and create chaos on the eve of political solution.
The release said all the designated camps and brigades, battalions and mobile camps of the working committee of NNPGs all over Nagaland and outside are occupied fully by civil and military workers anticipating positive outcome from the Indo-Naga peace talks.
It would be criminal to not provide basic daily necessities, the working committee of NNPGs said.
