IAS officer KV Eapen on Friday was given the additional charge of secretary in the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER).
As per reports, he was given the additional post of secretary from August 24, 2019, to September 9, 2019, during the period of absence on training and leave of Inderjit Singh.

Eapen is currently serving as the secretary in the department of administrative reforms and public grievances and department of pension and pensioner’s welfare.
He is a 1984 batch IAS officer of Assam and Meghalaya cadre.
Eapen also served as additional chief secretary in the Assam government.

He was a former senior advisor of the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
He also served as secretary of the ministry of statistics and programme implementation and as a joint secretary in the department of financial services.
Eapen did his graduation with economics honours from St. Stephen’s College in Delhi.
He did his master’s degree in economics from Delhi School of Economics.
The IAS officer also has a master’s degree in macroeconomic policy and planning from the University of Bradford.
He also has a post-graduate diploma in management from the Management Development Institute in Gurgaon.
