Sunetra Pawar is an Indian politician and the wife of the late Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar.

She was born on 18 October 1963 in Ter, Osmanabad District (now Dharashiv), Maharashtra, India.

Sunetra completed her B.Com degree from SBES College of Arts and Commerce in Aurangabad.

Before active politics, she was widely known for her work in environmental conservation and rural development, founding the Environmental Forum of India.

She has served as a Member of Parliament in the Rajya Sabha representing Maharashtra since 18 June 2024.

Sunetra is also the chairperson of Baramati Textile Company and is involved in several social and educational initiatives.

The Pawar couple has two sons, Parth Pawar and Jay Pawar.
