Holi is a vibrant festival which cannot be imagined without soaking ourselves in a shower of various colours

The most beautiful aspect of Holi is that the colours are showered by people as a mark of love and friendship

However, as most of these colours are full of chemicals it may irritate our skin but the most common woe is that the skin doesn’t tend to get rid of the colours easily

To take good care of your skin after playing Holi, you can follow these post-Holi skincare rituals as suggested by dermatologist Dr. Aanchal Panth-

1. Bathe with gentle wash.  Don’t use harsh washes or scrubs

2. If the colours are not coming off, let it be and remove it in subsequent washes.

3. Apply a thick moisturiser on whole body after bath. You can use coconut oil as well.

4. You can use a sheet mask to soothe skin after keeping it in the fridge for a few hours. This will feel cooling and soothing on the skin.

5. Make a homemade pack with watermelon or papaya or curd or rose water and apply it on your face and body

6. If there is redness or irritation, apply a coat of calamine lotion which can soothe the skin.
