After  a massive jolt rocked across Delhi on March 21, people  cannot stop commenting about ‘the sky changing colours’ or ‘lights seen after the earthquake in the sky’

Earthquake lights is a luminous aerial phenomenon that often appears in the form of colourful spheres, steady glows or flashes near areas of tectonic stress or seismic activity

These natural lights have still remained a mystery as scientists haven’t been able to devise a proper explanation around this rare phenomenon

According to a report in National Geographic, researchers have found that earthquake lights are caused by electric charges activated in certain types of rocks during seismic activity

Scientists feel that that the earthquake lights more commonly appear before or during quakes and are short-lived natural phenomenon

Meanwhile, Twitteratis cannot stop themselves from expressing curiosity over the earthquake lights

“Can someone explain this phenomenon? It is happening in the sky in my city (Yamunanagar, India). Colors of sky keeps changing at this point. Looks a bit like Northern Light?,” one tweeted

“Don't take that light lightly. It is the signal of Almighty to be more cautious and to admit the super power,” another wrote
