Neal Mohan, an Indian-American business executive, will now step in the role of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of YouTube

He will succeed Susan Wojcicki who served as the CEO of YouTube from 2014 to 2023

Prior to stepping into this prestigious role, Mohan was working as the Chief Product Officer of YouTube

He is an electrical engineering graduate from Stanford University and also holds an MBA degree there too

Mohan served in eminent technical roles in reputed IT companies like Accenture and Microsoft

He joined Google in 2008  and has served on topmost management positions in IAB, an American business organization

Mohan also served in high managerial roles in Stitch Fix, a personal styling company, and the genomics and biotechnology company 23andMe

He is also a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, an independent US think tank

Wojcicki, who wrote a heartwarming farewell letter after stepping down as the CEO, mentioned that she had spent nearly 15 years of her career working with Mohan

She also wrote that Mohan was responsible for ‘ensuring that YouTube lives up to its responsibility as a global platform’

Wojcicki claimed that Mohan was associated with the launch of YouTube TV, YouTube Music and Premium and Shorts

She is highly confident that Mohan ‘will be a terrific leader for YouTube’
