Indian Institute of Public Health (IIPH) Shillong Meghalaya is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the posts or jobs of Project Research Scientist-II (Non-Medical). The Indian Institute of Public Health Shillong (IIPHS) is a northeast regional institute of public health. It was established in 2015 by the Public Health Foundation of India in collaboration with the
Government of Meghalaya to redress the limited institutional and systems capacity in public health in the North East Region of India. IIPHS mandates include research interdisciplinary education and advocacy.

Essential Qualification: Master’s Degree in Public Health (MPH), Master’s of Social Work (MSW), Master’s in Digital Communication Management, Mass Communications or a related discipline.

Work Experience:

  1. At least 3-4 years of experience in project management, with a focus on health-related projects, is desirable.
  2. Relevant experience includes managing health programs, healthcare projects, or public health initiatives.
  3. Experience in developing and implementing health interventions and community engagement strategies.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience:

  1. Proven experience in developing IEC/BCC materials and training modules.
  2. Demonstrated ability to lead and manage project teams effectively.
  3. Experience in risk communication and community mobilization is highly desirable.

Job Roles : The Project Research Scientist-II (Non-Medical) will oversee the overall management and execution of the project, ensuring its successful implementation and impact. This role involves planning and coordinating interventions, developing content, and engaging with the community. The candidate will also supervise project activities, create educational materials, and lead risk communication and community mobilization efforts.
