The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), which is probing the drug angle in Sushant Singh Rajput’s death, on Saturday indicated that Rhea Chakraborty is likely to be summoned soon.
Rhea Chakraborty, girl-friend of Sushant Singh Rajput is a prime accused in the case of mysterious murder of the Bollywood actor on June 14.
Sources told Northeast Now that Rhea Chakraborty’s statement is important to link some of the dots in the mysterious case.
The NCB on Saturday produced the late actor’s former house manager Samuel Miranda and actress Rhea Chakraborty’s younger brother Showik before a Mumbai court.
Both Miranda and Showik were remanded to NCB custody for four days. They were arrested on Friday over drug charges following extensive raids on their houses.
The NCB had taken Miranda, Showik, and two other persons – Zaid and Kaizen Ibrahim – to Sion Hospital for a medical examination prior to their appearance before the court.
Sushant Singh Rajput’s family has alleged foul play in his death and filed a case against Rhea, who was the live-in partner of the late actor, his brother Showik and others.
His father has accused the actress and his brother of cheating, harassment and driving his son to suicide. Rhea, however, has denied the allegations.
Meanwhile, Meetu Singh, Sushant Singh Rajput’s sister has reached the DRDO guest house, and is being questioned in connection with her brother’s death. Meetu was also present during the crime scene recreation at Sushant Singh Rajput’s Bandra residence.
