With the help of portraits of the late Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput, farmers from Madhya Pradesh staged a protest on Sunday, seeking compensation for crop loss due to heavy rains.
As per reports, the farmers of Jafarkhedi village in Vidisha district said that people should support them in their hard times as they wanted justice for the actor.
The farmers staged the protest at their farms located about eight km from the district headquarters.
By placing the portraits of Sushant at the protest site, the farmers urged the media and people to stand up for them like the entire country is standing up for the justice of the actor.
Speaking to the media, one of the farmers said that their families were sad due to the crop loss just as Sushant’s family was grief-stricken due to his death.
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is currently probing the death case of Sushant who was found dead at his apartment in Mumbai on June 14.
Bollywood actor Rhea Chakraborty will be questioned by the agency for the fourth day on Monday in connection with Sushant’s death.
The CBI had so far questioned Rhea for over 25 hours.
She was questioned for nearly 10 hours on Friday, seven hours on Saturday, and eight hours on Sunday.
The CBI team had arrived in Mumbai along with the forensic team last Thursday, a day after the Supreme Court gave the nod for a probe by the federal agency.
The central investigation agency also grilled Rhea’s brother Showik Chakraborty besides questioning Sushant’s personal staff Neeraj Singh, and Dipesh Sawant, flatmate Siddharth Pithani and others.
