Nepal has resumed international and domestic flight operation after keeping it shut for two months owing to the surge in COVID-19 cases in the Country.
Nepal has resumed international flights to UAE, Dammam in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Muscat, Malaysia, Japan, South Korea, Chengdu and Gwanzhaou in China.

The decision to resume international flight operations was taken following recommendations of the COVID-19 Crisis Management Centre (CCMC) of Nepal.
The CCMC recommended gradual relaxations on international travel restrictions.

With the resumption of international flight operations in the Himalayan nation, it is expected that migrant workers from the Country would be able to travel to other countries again for overseas work.
On the other hand, many migrant workers stranded in various countries due to travel restrictions will also be able to return home.
Meanwhile, the Nepal Government has also given a green signal to resumption of domestic flight operations.
