Guwahati: A brief commotion was reported at Jantar Mantar on Saturday after a group of individuals entered the venue where the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) was holding a protest.
According to eyewitnesses, the group raised “Jai Shri Ram” slogans and called for action against the organisation while moving through the protest site. Their presence created a tense atmosphere among those attending the demonstration.
Delhi Police personnel stationed at the venue quickly stepped in to prevent the situation from escalating. Officers escorted the individuals out of the protest area and ensured that the gathering continued without interruption.
Authorities maintained a strong security presence at Jantar Mantar throughout the event, keeping a close watch on developments and managing the crowd. Police action helped prevent any confrontation between the two sides, officials said.
The situation was brought under control within a short period, and the protest proceeded peacefully thereafter. No injuries or major disturbances were reported during the incident.
