On Friday, India logged a total of 3,32,730 fresh COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours.

It is for the second straight day that India has reported over three lakh cases.
As per the latest bulletin released by the Union Health Ministry, India at present has a total of 24,28,616 active COVID-19 cases.

Moreover, India also registered as many as 2263 COVID-19 deaths.

Delhi recorded its highest ever single-day spike in regards to fatalities registered in 24 hours.
306 COVID-19 patients died and more than 26,000 cases were logged in Delhi on Thursday.

Notably, India is second only to the United States as far as the total number of COVID-19 cases detected so far.
Maharashtra continues to be the worst affected state.
Maharashtra on Thursday reported 67,013 fresh COVID-19 cases, taking the State’s tally to over 40.94 lakh.
Cases also continue to rise in the Northeast.

Assam, the most populous State in the Northeast recorded a total of 1931 COVID-19 cases on Thursday.
As many as 680 cases were detected from in and around Guwahati city, the largest and the busiest city in Northeast India.
10 COVID-19 deaths were also registered in Assam on Thursday.
