Dhaka’s air quality is gradually on the slide and in the Air Quality Index (AQI), the Bangladesh capital has been ranked 11th in the world.
The AQI of Dhaka is based on 5 criteria pollutants and it had an AQI score of 169 at 8:18 am on Thursday morning.

The 5 criteria pollutants are Particulate Matter (PM10 and PM2.5), NO2, CO, SO2 and Ozone (O3).
Canberra (Australia), Ulaanbaatar (Mongolia) and Delhi (India) occupy the top three positions in the list of cities with worst air.
Their AQI scores respectively are 495, 405 and 397.
