Senior Congress leader and former union minister Shahshi Tharoor has been cleared of all charges in the Sunanda Pushkar death case. 

Sunanda Pushkar was the wife of Congress leader Shashi Tharoor. 

Sunanda Pushkar was found dead under mysterious circumstances in a suite of a luxury hotel in New Delhi on the night of January 17, 2014. 

Later, Tharoor was booked under sections of subjecting a woman to cruelty and abetment to suicide in connection with the death of his wife Sunanda Pushkar.

Post-mortem of Sunanda Pushkar had suggested that she had died due to poisoning and there were 15 ante mortem injuries which were 12 hours to four days old. 

Shashi Tharoor had told the Delhi Court that the last “seven-and-a-half years were absolute torture”. 

The Delhi Court refused to frame charges against Shashi Tharoor and cleared him of all charges.
