The total number of COVID-19 infection in India crossed 5,00,000 on Friday, making the country one of only four where the tally has breached this milestone.
However, the fatality and recovery numbers offer some signs of positivity, suggesting that the outbreak is still under manageable levels.
“This control, however, is fragile and the situation can drastically turn if citizens and the government are not careful,” experts warned.
On Friday, the total number of infections in India grew by 18,370 with 383 new deaths recorded across the country.
The country now has a total of 5, 09,306 cases infections and 15,689 fatalities.
