Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif has tested positive for COVID-19. 

The development has been confirmed by Katrina Kaif herself in her Instagram page. 

Katrina Kaif issued a statement confirming that she has contracted COVID-19. 

Katrina Kaif informed that she has placed herself under home quarantine. 

Katrina Kaif in her statement wrote: “I have tested positive for COVID-19. Have immediately isolated myself and will be under home quarantine. I am following all safety protocols under the advice of my doctors.” 

The actress further requested all the people around her to get themselves tested. 

Katrina Kaif said: “Requesting everyone who came in contact with me to get tested immediately too.”  

She signed off the statement saying, “Grateful for all your love and support.”

Notably, Katrina Kaif’s rumoured boyfriend Vicky Kaushal, on Monday, had also announced that he has contracted COVID-19.  

“In spite of all care and precautions, unfortunately, I have tested COVID-19 positive. Following all essential protocols, I am under home quarantine, taking medication as prescribed by my doctor,” Vicky Kaushal said in a statement. 

The past few weeks have been a terrible time for Bollywood.

Multiple celebrities and countless others who are behind the camera have fallen prey to COVID-19. 

Actor Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Kartik Aaryan, Bhumi Pednekar, Govinda and Akshay Kumar have tested positive for COVID-19.
