The Guwahati Police has recovered the Innova car, which was used to kill 35-year-old Bhupinder Singh, the manager of Nagameez restaurant in Guwahati on January 13, 2018, the Uruka night.
The incident took place at Jayanagar area.

The driver and owner of the car have also been arrested by the cops.
The driver has reportedly confessed to the killing.

However, as the incident had happened at night and there was lack of concrete evidence the police remained confused to go ahead with the operation.
But finally, after long 17 days, the police on Tuesday were able to recover the white colour car, which was kept hidden in Geetanagar area of Guwahati.
The police also reportedly arrested the owner of the car, Pradip Deka and its driver.
According to police sources, on that night, there were also two women in the car.
According to reports, Bhupinder Singh, who was returning from his brother-in-law’s home after enjoying Uruka, was hit to death at around 11.50 pm after he had a verbal argument over parking of the vehicle.
Singh hailed from Diphu in Karbi Anglong district.
Though he was immediately admitted to the hospital, Singh died of injuries.
Nagameez restaurant’s manager Singh was the only son of his parents.
Immediately after the incident, the car left the spot.
As the incident took place at night, the people who had witnessed it, could not follow the car.
The locals also staged protests demanding arrest of the criminals responsible for the incident.
However, though the police continued operation failed to find any clue at the initial stage.
But the Basistha Police on the basis of the confessions of Parag Phukan, who was also in the killer Innova car, was finally able to seize the car.
