Assam Agricultural University is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the post or career of Project Assistant in the project entitled “Exploring the role of PEP-PEPR signaling in shaping plant growth and development under Iron deficiency” in the Department of Plant Pathology. The post is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project and is initially offered for one year. Assam Agricultural University is the first institution of its kind in the whole of North-Eastern Region of India. The main goal of this institution is to produce globally competitive human resources in farm sector and to carry out research in both conventional and frontier areas for production optimization as well as to disseminate the generated technologies as public good for benefitting the food growers/produces and traders involved in the sector while emphasizing on sustainability, equity and overall food security at household level.

Essential Qualification : Master’s degree in Agriculture or Biotechnology or Life Sciences

Emoluments : Rs. 20,000/- per month + 8% HRA

Age limit: 35 years (5 years relaxation for ST/SC and 3 years for OBC Candidates)

Candidates may appear for a walk-in-interview on on 24th July, 2024, in the Department of Plant Pathology, Assam Agricultural University, Jorhat, 785013 at 11.00 AM
