While questioning whether the Country is up for sale, the Congress on Wednesday launched an all-out attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and the BJP saying that it will raise the issue of Arnab Chat Gate in the Parliament.

Congress slammed Republic TV Editor-in-Chief Arnab Goswami demanding strict action against the journalist for allegedly compromising national security and using matters of national tragedy for boost his channel’s TRP.
Raising questions on a possible nexus between the BJP and Republic network, Congress went on to slam Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
“Prime Minister Narendra Modi has created a Lutyens’s Gang and Arnab is the CEO of that gang,” Congress said.

The Congress raised questions on both the Prime Minister’s Office and Arnab Goswami in regards to the WhatsApp chats between Arnab Goswami and an Ex-BARC official that went viral in the social media.
The purported chats suggested that Arnab Goswami had revealed national security secrets as he had advance information of the Balakot air strike.

Meanwhile, Arnab Goswami has rubbished the allegations of the Congress.
He said: “I am horrified that the Congress party actually thinks that any journalist in India expressing the views publicly stated by the Government is committing a crime.”
Meanwhile, grieving kin of Pulwama attack martyrs have also demanded stringent action against Republic TV Editor-in-Chief Arnab Goswami.
On the other hand, the Confederation of Ex-Parliamentary Forces Welfare Association has shot off letters to the President and the Delhi police commissioner demanding “immediate arrest of Republic TV editor-in-chief Arnab Goswami under the Official Secrets Act for committing treason”.
