An Army doctor stationed tested positive for COVID-19 and a colleague of his is symptomatic and admitted to medical care.

The doctor was stationed in Delhi.

Moreover, 17 others who came in contact with the doctor have been home quarantined.

The COVID-19 positive doctor has identified as ‘high risk’ and another two are deemed as ‘low risk’.

The high-risk category includes the wife and the daughter of the doctor as well.

The office block of the doctor has been sanitised and it has been locked till April 19.

Apart from it, the authorities have also sealed his residential building.

This is the fourth cases of COVID-19 positive in the Army.

A couple of weeks back, a Kolkata-based doctor and a JCO in Dehradun had tested positive for COVID-19.

In March earlier this year, a jawan in Ladakh also tested positive for COVID-19.

Meanwhile, a strict protocol has been laid by the Army for reporting symptoms of COVID-19.
