Guwahati: Four Meghalaya Police Service (MPS) officers have received a prestigious promotion, nominated to the Indian Police Service (IPS) by the Union Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA).

This announcement, made by the Ministry of Home Affairs today, elevates MPS officers Maxwell Balahun Syiem, Lakador Syiem, Bobby Sengjrang W Momin, and Goldenbert Dean Kharwanlang, all from the 2004 MPS batch, to the esteemed ranks of the IPS within the joint Assam and Meghalaya cadre.

While Maxwell B. Syiem currently holds the position of Superintendent of Police (SP) in the Eastern West Khasi Hills district, Lakador Syiem serves as the Commandant of the 4th MLP Bn. in Sohpian.  Bobby Sengjrang W Momin serves as the Spl. Superintendent of Police (SB-I), and Goldenbert Dean Kharwanlang is posted as Superintendent of Police (SP) in South West Khasi Hills, Mawkyrwat.

This nomination signifies recognition of their exceptional service and dedication to law enforcement.
