Bollywood actor Rhea Chakraborty has been arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Tuesday in connection with the drug case related to the actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case.

According to reports, she will now be taken for a medical test and will be produced before the court along with three other accused who have already been arrested.

The three other accused arrested by the anti-narcotics agency earlier are Rhea’s brother Showik Chakraborty, Samuel Miranda, who worked as the late actor’s house manager and Dipesh Sawant, who worked as Sushant’s houseboy.

The NCB is likely to file a plea before the court seeking that they need to keep all four in police remand for further questioning.

The agency has so far arrested a total of 5 persons in connection with the drug case.

In Sunday’s interrogation, ‘Jalebi’ actor Rhea confessed that she had procured drugs for Sushant through her brother, Showik Chakraborty.

She also admitted that she cannot question the evidence they have against her and confessed to being a part of the drugs business and peddling the same.

All the developments are being done under the second FIR 16/2020.

Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case is being probed by three agencies, Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), Enforcement Directorate (ED) and Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB).

During interrogation, Rhea Chakraborty, the main accused in Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case, also confirmed meeting drug peddler Basit Parihar on five occasions and that he used to visit their house.

Meanwhile, Mumbai Police registered a case of abetment to suicide against two of Sushant Singh Rajput’s sisters and others, based on a complaint by Rhea Chakraborty.
