A yoga teacher was on Monday arrested for allegedly molesting and attempting to rape a girl student in Goalpara.
Police said the yoga teacher of Goalapara Public School allegedly tried to rape a 14 –year-old girl student inside a toilet of the school.
The teacher has been identified as Humayun Kabir.
Police said the girl manged to escape from the spot and reported the incident to school authorities.
Based on a compliant of the victim, police on Monday arrested the teacher.
The Goalpara district unit of Chatra Mukti Sangram Samiti (CMSS) has demanded action against the accused teacher.
The activists of the students’ body staged a protest in Goalpara demanding exemplary punishment against the accused.
