Top Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi, on Friday, launched an all-out attack on the BJP government at the Centre over inflation issue.
Priyanka Gandhi said that while on one hand incomes of the general population in India decreased, the government has earned crores of rupees by levying taxes on fuels.
“When you buy petrol and diesel, remember that Modi government has earned 23 lakh crores through tax,” Priyanka Gandhi said.
She added: “When you buy cooking oil and vegetables, remember that during this government’s regime, though the incomes of 97 per cent household have decreased, Modi’s friends are earning Rs 1000 crore daily.”
