Union minister of state for sports and AYUSH Kiren Rijiju has tested positive for Covid19.
The news has been confirmed by Union minister Rijiju on Saturday evening on his Twitter handle.

Rijiju in a tweet said, his report came positive after repeated tests for Covid19.
“After getting repeated test for Covid-19, today my report has come out positive,” Union sports minister Kiren Rijiju tweeted.
The Union minister said he is currently taking advice of the doctors.

He has also requested all those people, who recently came into his contact, to get themselves tested for Covid19 and undergo self-quarantine.
Rijiju said he is physically ‘fit and fine’.

“I’m taking the advice of the Doctors. I request all those who have come in my contact recently to be observant, exercise self-quarantine and get themselves tested. I’m physically fit and fine,” Rijiju wrote.

According to Union health ministry data on Saturday, India reported daily rise of 234,692 Covid19 infections over the last 24 hours taking the total tally to over 1.45 crore cases.
The ministry said 10 states including Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Chhattisgarh, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Kerala, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu and Rajasthan report 79.32% of the new Covid19 cases.
Maharashtra reported the highest daily new Covid19 cases at 63,729.
Delhi, which is one of the worst-hit states in India, reported 24,000 new Covid19 positive cases in the last 24 hours.
The national capital registered 141 Covid19 deaths in the last 24 hours which is the highest single-day toll in Delhi, said a media report.
