Guwahati: A two-year-old boy from Unakoti in Tripura has been named in the India Book of Records for being the youngest person to recognise all 28 Indian states and their capitals.

The toddler named Ruprit resides in Rajnagar village within Fatikroy of Unakoti, Tripura.

He showcased an exceptional memory despite his age.

Though still developing his pronunciation skills, he can speak the names of several states and capitals, along with some countries.

Ruprit’s parents are both healthcare workers.

His mother Rupali Das has been credited for his remarkable feat.

Rupali noticed Ruprit’s exceptional ability to recognize and pronounce things early on.

She began teaching him state and capital names at just one year old, finding he memorized them quickly. She then helped him locate the states on a map.

Impressed by her son’s abilities, Rupali applied to register him in the India Book of Records.

After careful verification of her claim, Ruprit was officially recognized.
