Agartala: Around 11,000 enumerators and supervisors will be assigned for the Census 2027 exercise in Tripura, the Director of Census Operations Ratan Biswas said on Monday.
โA training programme for officials, including District Magistrates, Collectors and Sub-Divisional Magistrates, was held at Pragna Bhavan as part of preparations for the census process,โ said Biswas. ย
Officials said the first phase of the exercise will focus on house listing and collection of data on amenities, and will be conducted in a fully digital mode.
Self-enumeration will be carried out from July 17 to July 31, while field enumeration is scheduled between August 1 and August 30. Training activities will continue till the end of Phase I, he added.
According to him, this census shall be conducted in fully digital mode.
โEnumerators will visit households to collect information, and the data will be uploaded directly to servers using mobile phones. Paper signatures will not be required this time,โ Biswas said.
Phase II of the census exercise is expected to be conducted in the next year.
