Tripura has registered 8 more Covid19 positive cases on Saturday, taking the state’s overall tally to 1,190.
Confirming the detection of new positive cases, Tripura chief minister Biplab Kumar Deb in a tweet on Saturday night said a total of 1,357 samples were tested for Covid19 on the day, out of which 8 were found positive for the virus.

The chief minister informed that all of the infected cases have travel history.
“Out of 1357 samples tested for COVID-19, 8 people found #POSITIVE. All of them have travel history,” chief minister Deb said.
Of the newly-infected cases, the chief minister informed, 3 have been reported from West Tripura district, 3 others have been reported from Sepahijala district, one each positive case has been reported from Gomati and Dhalai districts.

“The count includes: West District: 03. Sepahijala District: 03. Gomati District: 01. Dhalai District: 01,” Deb said in the tweet.
The deadly disease has claimed the lives of 1 person in Tripura while 4 cases have migrated from the state.
A total of 657 Covid19 patients have been discharged from the hospitals after their recovery in Tripura.
