Tripura has registered 25 more COVID19 positive cases on Saturday, taking the state’s overall tally to 1,560.
Confirming the detection of new COVID19 cases in the state, Tripura chief minister Biplab Kumar Deb in his latest tweet on the state’s COVID19 status said a total of 1,450 samples were tested for COVID19, out of which 25 were found positive for the virus.
“Out of 1450 samples tested for COVID-19 today, 25 people found #POSITIVE. All of them have travel history,” chief minister Deb tweeted.
The chief minister informed that Sepahijala district has reported 9 COVID19 positive cases while West Tripura district has reported 8 positive cases and North Tripura district has reported 4 cases.
He also informed that the Dhalai district has reported 2 positive cases while Khowai and South Tripura districts have reported one positive case each.
“The count includes : Sepahijala Dist: 9. West Dist: 8. North Dist: 4. Dhalai Dist: 2. Khowai Dist: 1. South Dist: 1,” chief minister Deb tweeted.

On Saturday, chief minister Deb inaugurated ‘Mukhyamantri Corona Pratirodh Abhiyan’ at Agartala.
“Under this scheme every Saturday, we will be distributing Vitamin C enriched Fruits & juice among people throughout the State,” the chief minister said in an earlier tweet, adding, “The aim of the scheme is to boost the immunity power of all to combat against COVID19.”
On Friday, Tripura registered 93 COVID19 positive cases.
