Tripura has registered 90 new COVID19 positive cases on Tuesday.
Confirming the news, Tripura chief minister Biplab Kumar Deb in a tweet on the state’s latest update on COVID19 status on Tuesday said a total of 2,761 samples were tested for COVID19, out of which 90 were found positive for the virus.
“Out of 2761 samples tested for COVID-19, 90 people found #POSITIVE,” chief minister Deb said in the tweet.
The chief minister informed that West Tripura district has reported 29 positive cases, Khowai district has reported 9 cases, North Tripura district has reported 16 cases while Gomati district has reported 7 cases.
The South Tripura district has reported 7 positive cases, Dhalai district has reported 12 cases, Sepahijala district has reported 6 cases and the Unakoti district has reported 4 new positive cases, the chief minister informed.
“30 BSF personnel have been discharged from Dedicated Covid Health Center, Composite Hospital BSF, Salbagan after their test results came NEGATIVE BSF is working hand in hand along with State Govt to make Tripura COVID19 free. Together we shall overcome,” Deb tweeted at 7.07 pm on Tuesday.

Earlier, a total of 93 COVID19 patients including 30 BSF personnel were discharged in Tripura on Tuesday after they tested negative for the virus.
The 30 Border Security Force (BSF) personnel, who were earlier infected by COVID19, have been discharged from the Dedicated Covid Health Center at the Composite Hospital BSF in Salbagan.
