Five more positive patients succumbed to COVID19 infections in Tripura in the last 24 hours, taking the state’s death toll to 78.
Till Sunday, the COVID19 death toll in Tripura stood at 73.
The death rate in Tripura now stands at 0.88%.
The health department of Tripura released a bulletin on Monday evening stating the latest status of COVID19 situation in the state.
According to the bulletin, Tripura currently has 8,920 COVID19 positive cases.
Out of the total COVID19 positive cases, there are a total of 2,407 active cases.
The positivity rate in Tripura stands at 3.65%.
Of the total 78 deaths, 54 people died this month.
In an average, more than 2 persons die of COVID19 every day in the state.
According to a report, a 73-year-old patient died at Agartala Government Medical College in Agartala on Sunday.
Out of the new cases, 83 positive cases have been reported from West Tripura; 59 cases have been reported from Sepahijala; 15 cases reported from North Tripura; Dhalai has reported 16 and Khowai has reported 9.
Of the other new cases, Gomati has reported 8 cases; Unakoti has reported 6 cases and South Tripura district has reported 4 cases.
