Tripura records 10 more COVID19 deaths in 24 hours; toll rises to 112

Tripura has recorded 10 COVID19 deaths in the last 24 hours, taking the state’s death toll to 112 on Monday.

This is the highest number of deaths due to COVID19 infections recorded in Tripura in a single day.

Earlier, the highest six people died in Tripura in a single day due to COVID19.

The COVID19 death toll recorded in the state till Sunday was 102.

The death toll crossed the one hundred-mark on Sunday and on Monday it increased to 112.

The death rate has also increased in the state.

The death rate in the state now stands at 0.96 percent, whereas on Sunday, the death rate was 0.90%.

The rate of positivity has also increased.

According to a bulletin issued by the health department on Monday evening, the positivity stands at 4.28% in Tripura.

On Sunday, the positivity rate of Tripura was 4.20%.

Tripura so far has registered a total of 11,647 positive cases.

The state currently has 3,858 active patients who are undergoing treatment for the disease.

In the bulletin, the health department has not mentioned the names or addresses of the deceased.

Now, no health official is also not talking to the media nor any minister is making any statement regarding the COVID19 status of the state.

The chief minister, who is in charge of the health department, earlier informed about the COVID19 updates of the state on social media.

Now, the CM has stopped giving updates on social media.

However, a bulletin is issued on COVID19 by the health department every evening.
