AGARTALA: The Border Security Force (BSF) and Tripura police seized a large cache of Yaba tablets and a firearm from a residence in Motinagar village, near the international border in West Tripura district.
Based on specific intelligence provided by the BSF, the operation was conducted on Thursday (June 07).

Law enforcement officials cordoned off the house of Abu Salam Bhuiya, a resident of Motinagar, and conducted a thorough search.
The raid resulted in the recovery of 40,000 Yaba tablets, valued at approximately Rs 2 crore, packed in four packets.

Additionally, a country-made pistol (7.65 mm) with one magazine and five live rounds of ammunition were seized from Bhuiya’s house.
Bhuiya has been apprehended and handed over to Amtali police station in Tripura along with the seized items.
