Tripura on Friday became the latest state from the Northeast to enlist its name in the list of COVID-19 infected states of the region.
On Friday, two persons from Tripura tested positive for COVID-19 in Rajasthan.
As per sources, the men went to Delhi to take part in the religious congregation in Nizamuddin and from there they went to Rajasthan.
In Rajasthan, the duo’s health condition deteriorated and when tested, they were found COVID-19 positive.
Tripura health secretary Debasis Basu informed that the state government is in continuous touch with its Rajasthan counterpart and it is taking stock of the health condition of the two men.
The men are presently in Bikaner in Rajasthan.
Even though men from Tripura has been tested positive, however, no direct positive case has not been detected in the state as of now.
