Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb on Thursday afternoon visited Agartala’s GBP Hospital checked the preparedness to combat COVID-19.

A mock drill was also organised in the hospital and it was monitored by Deb himself.

Interacting with the journalists later, the CM said, “We tested every person who took part in a religious congregation in Nizamuddin in New Delhi and every one of them has tested negative.”

“However, we will test them again after three days. Till then they will be home quarantined,” the CM added.

“No COVID-19 positive case has been detected in Tripura so far. The mock drill was carried out to let the health officials know about the things to be done in case a positive case is detected,” Deb added.

He further informed that a 20-bedded clock has been created in the hospital for treating COVID-19 patients.
