Agartala: Tripura’s SC Welfare Minister Sudhangshu Das spearheaded a rally on Friday in his Fatikroy Assembly Constituency, located in the Unakoti District of Tripura, to raise awareness and demand action for the protection of Hindu minorities in Bangladesh.
The rally, organized by the Fatikroy Hindu Samaj, comes in response to a surge in violence against Hindu communities in Bangladesh, following the resignation of Sheikh Hasina as Prime Minister.

Das, who also serves as the Minister for Animal Resources Development, condemned the alleged targeted attacks against Hindus and urged both the Bangladeshi interim government and the Indian government to take immediate action.
In his address, Das criticized the recent escalation of violence, which reportedly includes attacks on Hindu temples, vandalism, and assaults on Hindu women, as well as the destruction of homes and properties.
He described these acts as premeditated and egregious.

“The purpose of this rally is to draw attention to the severe plight of Hindu minorities in Bangladesh,” Das explained.
“We are calling on the authorities in both Bangladesh and India to ensure the safety and security of these vulnerable communities and to prevent further atrocities.”
Das’s appeal underscores a growing concern over the safety of minority communities in the region and highlights the need for international and bilateral efforts to address the crisis.
