According to the police, the incident took place at Taksaiya para of Tulashikhar under Khowai district on last Tuesday.

Police arrested the four youth on Saturday evening.

They will be produced at Khowai court on Monday.

The four youths who were arrested by police have been identified as Sonacharan Debbarma, Kanak Debbarma, Maliya Debbarma and Asim Debbarma.

After the incident they were absconding.

Police sources said the two minor tribal girls, both students of class IX had been lured out of home on the pretext of chatting by the culprits on last Tuesday in the evening.

They were taken to the nearby jungle of Taksiaya para village.

In the jungle, both the girls were repeatedly raped by the four youths who deserted the girls in seriously injured condition and fled from the location.

After regaining consciousness the girls managed to totter back home and told their guardians what had happened.

The guardians then filed a FIR at Champahaor police station.

The police personnel launched a manhunt to nab the culprit who had absconded.

On Saturday afternoon, all four culprits were nabbed by police.
